Jamez T. is an Atlanta-based filmmaker, executive producer, director, entrepreneur, and founder of Genisys Films and TJK Plus.
With more than 🎬 25+ Years of experience in entertainment, film production, and visual storytelling, he develops feature films, documentaries, branded media, and music video projects designed to inspire audiences and create lasting impact.
Formerly known as King Yao, Jamez T. has built a reputation for purpose-driven storytelling that blends creativity, leadership, faith, and cultural influence.
His work includes feature films, documentaries, and music videos, and he has collaborated with artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals across multiple creative spaces.
Beyond filmmaking, Jamez T. is passionate about community development, creative education, and entrepreneurship.
Together with director Kyle Scott, he co-founded the Creative Dreamers Collective, a community-driven initiative dedicated to mentoring and empowering the next generation of filmmakers, creators, storytellers, and entrepreneurs.
My Story
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Jamez T. discovered early that creativity had the power to inspire, connect, and transform lives.
Raised with strong values of perseverance, faith, and determination, he developed a passion for storytelling that would become the foundation of his life’s work.
Jamez began his creative journey in music, writing songs, producing records, and developing artists.
Through music, he learned the power of storytelling, audience connection, and creative leadership.
What started behind the microphone and in the studio gradually expanded into entrepreneurship, branding, media production, and visual storytelling.
Over the years, he built experience across entertainment, business, marketing, and content creation, developing a diverse skill set that allowed him to create, lead, and build across multiple industries.
As his vision expanded, so did his desire to tell stories on a larger scale.
Known earlier in his career as King Yao, Jamez embraced a new chapter by stepping fully into his identity as a filmmaker, executive producer, and visionary entrepreneur.
That transition represented more than a name change. It marked the evolution of a creative journey that began with music and grew into a mission of producing films, documentaries, and media experiences that inspire purpose, impact culture, and leave a lasting legacy.
Today, as founder of Genisys Films and TJK Plus, Jamez develops feature films, documentaries, music videos, and creative initiatives designed to educate, inspire, and empower audiences around the world.
His work includes collaborations with artists, athletes, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders, all driven by a commitment to excellence and meaningful storytelling.
